Sudbury brochure

Sudbury is a traditional East Anglian market town in the Stour Valley, that has managed to remain much of its traditional charm and historical buildings. Birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, the town centre carries a statue in his memory and his former home, Gainsborough House, has been turned into a museum dedicated to his life's work. The town centre boasts a good selection of shops, from specialist boutiques to national chains, and also offers the Kingfisher Leisure centre with its tropical swimming pool and Belle Vue Park with lawns and tennis courts to enjoy. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to dine at and even a local theatre - The Quay - that offers a year round programme of entertainment. But it is the outdoor elements that are the biggest attraction. From canoeing on the river, biking through the many beautiful medieval villages or simply walking through some of the most breath-taking countryside - it is hard to believe that this incredible pace of life has been so carefully preserved.
With London just 65 miles away by car, this location is the perfect country retreat.

Creating Lifefestyles...

In such an environmentally beautiful location, Barratt were challenged to create a development that would sit gracefully within its surroundings and complement the traditional architecture of the local area. As you approach Bakers Mill, reminders of the development's former use are apparent.
The original mill, which only ceased operating in 1968, oozes the character and charm that is typical of the architecture in this area. This will be converted and refurbished into office accommodation whilst on the land adjacent to the River Stour a brand new collection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments will incorporate similar architectural detail and an executive specification for a modern lifestyle. Alongside these will run a pretty street scene incorporating imposing 3 and 4 bedroom three storey houses, that will offer a luxurious specification.

Provestor advises

With a 90% BTL mortgage and No Money Down, there will be a rental shortfall initially, so clients will need to subsidise rents. However, the capital appreciation will be significant. As a small site, this will not be flooded by investors.
